Cook Medical Internship

In the summer of 2022, I had the opportunity to Intern as a graphic designer at the Cook Medical Headquarters in Bloomington, IN. I was tasked with creating invitations, name tags, and certificates for Cook Vista® courses, which are educational seminars for healthcare professionals to help them understand how to use Cook Medical devices properly. I was also spearheading a templating process using Marq, a software that allows designers to import documents and control what can be edited, allowing non-designers to create documents they need while staying within brand guidelines. Ultimately, the goal was to decrease the workload of the Cook Medical creative team and create a process that eliminates back-end approval for Vista® course materials. Below is my capstone presentation as well as the deliverables, to give a more in depth look at the work I have done.

As mentioned above, this internship provided me with many learning opportunities and introduced me to some great people, who helped me thrive in a corporate environment at a large company. I was able to learn so much about brand guidelines, collaboration, and approval processes that I now carry with me and use on a daily basis.
